Best apartment in Dublin!21 Strand Road, Dublin, Dublin, Ireland

Our family just returned from our lovely stay in Dublin. The apartment is perfectly situated near all transportation into the city, the town square is charming and easily accessible, and the view of the sea is perfect. The apartment is the perfect place to enjoy the sites of Dublin or to launch day trips around Ireland. Iverna, the manager, was friendly and always available. I can't wait to come back again and return to my "Irish Home."My wife and our two small children spent a little under a week in this fabulous Sandymount apartment and we loved it. The flat is spacious and very comfortable, tastefully decorated and comes equipped with all modern conveniences. The beds too were really comfortable. The fact that it has a little garden only adds to the charm. Iverna the owner was very thoughtful and accommodating and ensured our stay was as enjoyable as possible. There was nothing we wanted during the stay but if there was I am sure she would have provided it. What makes the place even more special is the location which is amazing. It is literally across the road from Dublin's famous Sandymount Strand so you can smell the sea air and we took many walks along the ever changing beach while there. It is hard to realise that you are just a short bus ride from the city centre. So you really have the best of both worlds here. Yet another pleasing aspect of staying here is the locality — Sandymount is very quaint, with lots of really nice shops, cafés and restaurants. It has a village feel to it with its picturesque central green — but also has a Tesco's for all your supermarket shopping needs. All in all, we loved our stay here, would definitely return and have no hesitation recommending this flat to anyone else. You will be very pleased

During our two month stay, we fell in love with Sandymount village and the convenience of this charming, well-stocked apartment. The bedrooms are spacious and the garden makes a pretty picture, even in winter! Iverna is a most gracious, welcoming host. We would stay here again any time.

We were so happy with our choice of apartment. The apartment had everything we could have asked for and unlike other holiday rentals the owner took the time to add the special touches, such as fresh flowers, toiletries, biscuits and tea. The apartment was clean, and close by to shopping and the city centerMay

We stayed in the two bedroom garden apartment for 10 days and found everything about our stay absolutely wonderful!!! We highly recommend this location if you are interested in visiting Dublin but looking for a quieter place to stay within 20 minutes via public transportation. Sandymount is a wonderful small town with great restaurants, excellent walks and good local markets if you are looking to cook some meals for those non hectic city days. The apartment comes with a fully furnished kitchen, comfortable beds, and good lighting for those gray Irish days. The owner was very professional and easy to work with and we would highly recommend this property.

Die Wohnung hat uns sehr gut gefallen. Super Lage: an der Hauptstraße am Meer entlang und trotzdem ruhig. Schöner kleiner Garten mit Sonne zum Mittagessen/Kaffeetrinken. Küche gut ausgerüstet...könnte ein bisschen mehr Essbesteck vertragen, damit die Spülmaschine auch optimal genutzt werden kann. Es hat uns rundum sehr gut gefallen und sollten wir noch einmal nach Dublin fahren werde ich totsicher wieder versuchen, diese Wohnung zu bekommen (the apartment was very good. Great location: on the main road along the sea and still quiet. Nice little garden with sun for lunch / coffee. Kitchen well equipped ... could use a bit more cutlery, so that the dishwasher can also be used optimally. We really liked it all around and should we go to Dublin again I will definitely try again to get this apartment)

We stayed in the apartment for a week at end of July. The unit is on a quiet street corner. The entrance is on the side street. There are plenty of curb side parking space. The small garden makes it feel like a townhouse rather than an apartment. It's very quiet at night away from the center city noise. The nearby village is within walking distance with nice restaurants, pubs and a well stocked supermarket. The locals are super friendly and explained to me in details about how gaelic football works while i was at a pub. The center city is actually very close. i rented a car. it took about 10-15 minutes to drive to Temple Bar area depends on traffic, and the bus stop is 1 minutes walk from the apartment if you don't have a car . The apartment is very clean and the VRBO description is very accurate. It is actually better and feels more spacious than the pictures would make you believe. The kitchen is well stocked though we rarely cooked. The building and garden is well maintained. The Sandymount beach is right across street and my wife loved the morning walk along the beach. The entire neighborhood feels very safe. We saw some teenage girls walking their dogs late at night. Iverna was very helpful and honest through out the booking process and was very responsive to our requests after we checked-in. We really enjoyed our stay here.

Lovely Week in Sandymount
I stayed in Seaview with my two (grown up) children and my 12 year old dog and really enjoyed the week in this lovely apartment,

Everything went swimmingly from the booking to the departure. Easy to book, easy to find, easy to live in. It's a really clean, spacious, comfortable apartment; very convenient location, I have only good things to say about it,

It will definitely be top of my list should I decide to spend another week in Dublin,

The Garden Apartment pretty well matched our needs and in particular we found the it clean, comfortable and warm especially in such cold weather!!. The bathroom was well equipped.

We spent Christmas in Dublin and the apartment was perfect for our family of 5. We loved being opposite the beach, even though we were knee deep in snow! The village of Sandymount is beautiful and the restaurants really good.

Definitely hope to return.

Thank you very much for the stay in your apartment - it was far the best we stayed in. We loved the little touches of the tea and coffee and milk on arrival saved as rushing around to find a Tesco - the property was just as it was stated in the ad and was certainly located well to Dublin City Center. It was great to watch the tide come in and go for a walk along the beach in the morning. Thanks again for the stay and if we are ever in Dublin again or know of friends or family going I will certainly recommend the place.

Great start for 'doing' Dublin!

The apartment is situated in the lovely Sandymount Village which has everything for your daily needs (shops, bars, Tesco). There is a busstop almost at the frontdoor, the bus takes you in 10-15 minutes to the centre of the city. My advice: take the bus, don't use your car! It is also a great start in you want to visit the northern (close to a tunnel which takes you straight out of the city) and southern regions outside Dublin.

The apartment itself is small but comfortable when you are staying there with two adults and three (older) children. All equipment is quite new so there is few to complain about. Maybe some more kitchentools would come in handy (strainer, cooking spoons etc), but these are minor details.

Our opinion: good value!

If it is Location, Location, Location, then this is the place to be. Within a few steps of the front door - a view out to sea, with ferries and ships entering Dublin Port, and further South, Dun Laoghaire's harbour.
The bus to Dublin was so convenenient and reasonably priced. The Dart from Sandymount, another means of transport for Dublin and coastal destinations- we visited Howth, an upmarket harbour village and also Dun Laoghaire with its yaughts, shops and Victorian details.
The flat, slightly dated, is clean, roomy and light with every necessity. Iverna is inspirational and welcoming.
If travelling from the North England without a car we would recommend Stenna's Rail and Sail at £35 single.
Dublin itself is full of interest and culture; a visit to the Tourist centre imperative for maps and information.

We spent a lovely week in June at the apartment. It's situated ideally in a classy neighborhood two blocks from Sandymount Village, where there are convenience stores, pubs, restaurants and even a supermarket. Everything around this area is to be recommended. the apartment's location in front of the beach is also ideal for a stroll away from the crowds at the City Centre. Since we went to a professional conference, we needed to get to the RDS easily. It was close enough to the RDS convention centre to walk (10 minutes) and Downtown Dublin is also 10 minutes (two DART stops) away. The apartment itself is spotless, freshly painted and with all the furnishings needed to have a good time. We highly recommend this apartment and will surely be back, next time we go to Ireland.

I stayed in this apartment for over three weeks and I loved every minute of it. I cannot understand Aussie Dolly's review. Firstly the house faces Sandymount Strand which has a sandy beach, lovely walks in an adjacent nature reserve and looks out to Dun Laoghaire to the South and Howth to the North. The view is really lovely and cheerful. Secondly the owner, Iverna Hynes, couldn't have been more helpful, obliging and friendly. The apartment is fully equipped with everything you could wish for and when some American friends stayed over and asked for a coffee maker she went out and bought a new one for them. There was a caffetiere in the apartment but Iverna Hynes understood that American clients prefer a proper coffee maker and so provided one immediately. Thirdly with regard to car parking, nowhere in any of the descriptions does it say anything about private car parking. Infact the description makes a point of saying "on street parking" of which there is plenty. Because the house is so large there is room for three cars at the front and at least five to the side. As this is such a prestigeous area you just know your car is safe. The next point is that the apartment is on the ground level (there is no basement) which means it has its own garden and private entrance. It's more like a little house than an apartment and the feeling of space is incredible. Because it's a period house, the rooms are quite large and there is plenty of room for everything. The "gate leg" table referred to by Aussie Dolly is a neat little table which is in keeping with the style of the apartment. It's perfect for the room. All in all this is a first rate apartment and one I have recommended to all my friends. Those who stayed here have exactly the same comments to make as I do and they in turn have recommended this property. The next time I'm staying in Dublin I sincerely hope one of the apartments is available as apart from being a spotlessly clean, well maintained, roomy place to stay, it's always a pleasure dealing with the owner, Iverna Hynes.

Great location right on Dublin bay, lovely views within walking distance of the pretty village of Sandymount with it's amenities and nice restaurants and cafes. Lovely to walk along Sandymount strand and hop into the centre of Dublin, Howth, Dun Laoghaire and Bray on the DART. Very spacious, bright, clean apartment which is well equipped with a private garden. Very close to both ferry terminals at Dun Laoghaire and Dublin port and with the new port tunnel the Mews is very convenient to Dublin airport.Close proximity to the city centre and by the sea makes this an ideal apartment for your visit to he capital of the lands of saints and scholars! Also the very friendly warm hospitality that you receive from your host only makes your stay even better. We keep going back! Fully recommended

I was looking for a comfortable, safe, and convenient location in Dublin, and I was not disappointed. The accomodations were as described, and Iverna was extremely helpful, despite our early arrival. The two bedrooms, kitchen, bathroom, and parlour were clean, and well maintained. We were very pleased to discover how convenient this location was to the airport, the city centre, and access to highways. The proximity to the beach and Sandymount shopping was very pleasing. Iverna was very helpful with suggestions, and we were made to feel very welcome. Having our own backyard, complete with barbecue (not that the weather permitted its use), seating, and clothesline, made us right at home. It's location also made it very easy to visit family members living in Dublin and outlying areas. While parking is not provided, we never had any difficulty finding parking in close proximity. I would highly recommend this rental, and would make use of it again if travelling with others.

Guest satisfacion is of paramount importance to us and our large number of repeat bookings are due to our ongoing investment and commitment to providing extremely well presented, thouroughly clean, well equipped properties.
To reserve the apartment we require a deposit of just 50% of the rental , the balance is not then due until 6 weeks prior to your arrival date. Payments can be made by Bank transfer. If you wish to pay by Credit or Debit card this can be done via Transferwise.
Our rates include
All utilities, VAT, TAXES, Final Cleaning, SKY, WIFI etc .

Rates are quoted per week but we are happy to offer a discount for bookings over over 3 weeks. Bookings up to 6 months can be accepted.
We request a seperate payment of 200 euro which will only be cashed in the event of actual damage or excessive cleaning being necessary.

As we are unable to offer refunds please ensure you have taken out Holiday Insurance Cover

Please note the apartment will be available for occupation after 3pm on day of arrival and must be vacated by 11am unless by specific arrangement
