This apartment is the ideal spot for a relaxing holiday in the sun - sit on the terrace and listen to the waves on the shore and in the morning hear the fishing boats heading out for the day. Spend time at one of the pools, with sunbeds and parasols provided, either on the headland or alternatively at the 2nd pool which is more suited to children.
For the more adventurous, there are a wide range of activities in the area ranging from hill walking to water activities all within easy reach.
For golfers a wide range of golf courses from the more reasonably priced to the exclusive Finca Cortesin (Home of the Volvo Masters for 3 years), Valderrama, Sotogrande, San Roque, etc.

The apartment itself consists of a hallway and large lounge/living area which opens out directly onto the terrace overlooking the Mediterranean. There are 2 bedrooms, one double ensuite with large wardrobe space and opening directly on to the terrace. The 2nd is a twin bedroom with large wardrobe space and access to the second bathroom. Fully fitted kitchen with all appropriate equipment that you might require. There is a good sized separate utility room.

Hi-Speed broadband is included, both UK and Irish TV stations available or connect your device to the TV via HDMI cable (supplied) for Netflix, etc.

The Costa Del Sol Region

Casares del Mar is situated within an easy drive of Estepona and Estepona Port (10 kms) - Estepona Town is a haven of shopping, bars, restaurants and cafes - just wander through the narrow streets and see what you can find. Just short of the town, Estepona Port boasts a wide variety of restaurants around the harbour, a lot of them offering fresh fish just in off the boats.
In the other direction and closer still is the town of Sabinillas (5 kms), which has a long promenade and miles of beach with all types of restaurants, beach bars and cafes. Just past Sabinillas is the Puerta de La Duquesa - this is a very lively spot with plenty of night life.

Chiringuitos (Beach Bars) are plentiful all along this stretch of coastline. The nearest, "Bahia Beach" at the end of Casares beach, can be seen from the terrace and is a short walk along beach/promenade. A further short walk along the promenade will bring you to La Sal which is an up-market chiringuito and well worth a visit.

Inland and 17 kms up the mountain you can visit Casares Village, this an original Spanish Pueblo Blanco (white village) tucked into the side of the mountain with an Arab fortress above. Meander through the tiny streets and visit the tiny bars on the way up to the fortress for spectacular panoramic views.
On the way up to Casares Village you will pass Casares Golf, a 9 hole golf course which has an ideal bar/terrace for a sundowner. Further up is the Finca Cortesin Hotel/Golf complex , well worth a visit to see its sumptuous decor and grounds. Restaurants you will pass on the way up include Venta Garcia, Venta Victoria, The Forge and Arroyo Hondo.

Estepona Area

Local markets take place weekly in Estepona and Sabinillas, where you can browse and buy anything from fruit/spices to clothes and old artefacts - details of dates/times will be available.
There is a good adventure waterpark in Algeciras which is a 30 min drive away towards Gibraltar.
Marbella with it's famed Orange Square and Puerta Banus with it's designer shops, top range cars and yachts are a 30 min drive back towards Malaga.
Other towns worthy of a visit but a bit further afield are Granada, Cordoba, Ronda, Seville or Jerez (the home of Sherry).
About an hour away, past Gibraltar is the town of Tarifa on the Atlantic coast with a spectacular long sandy beach. From Tarifa you can a take a ferry to Tangier in Morocco.

Fly to Malaga with Aer Lingus or Ryanair from Dublin.
Car hire available at airport - approx 1 hour's drive to Casares del Mar.

Exterior Details

The terrace is very private and not overlooked, there is an outdoor table and chairs - the table can be extended for extra seating. The views from the terrace are spectacular, along the coastline to Estepona in the east and to the west views of Gibraltar and in the distance the Atlas Mountains of North Africa.
The surface car park through security gates is at the entrance to B Block - remote control supplied to operate gates.

Interior Details

The accommodation sleeps 4 comfortably but can sleep 6 by use of a pull-out sofa bed in the lounge. There is also a travel cot available in the apartment.
Both bathrooms have baths/showers, toilets, washstands and the ensuite has a bidet.
There are ceiling fans in both bedrooms.
